HMT-T w/ Safety Valve & Oxygen Port VH-1168 is a single use Heat and moisture exchange protecting tracheostomized patients from heat and humidity loss resulting from breathing through artificial airways which bypass the mouth, nose and pharynx. The translucent moulded plastic housing contains a hygroscopic material that traps the heat and moisture from the expired air and returns it to the in spired air. Device must be replaces every 24 hours or as needed to prevent accumulation of secretion.
